Eight Table Makeovers

Here are eight table makeovers I have done over the past year that I thought would be fun to put together in one post.

::Tables 1 & 2::

Both tables were painted with Safe Paint (milk paint for walls) from The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co in their Federal Blue color. The bottom table's grain sack (or racing?) stripes were done in Valspar Churchill Hotel Vanilla.

::Tables 3 & 4::

Two more tables painted with Safe Paint (milk paint for walls) from The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co. This time in their Buttermilk color.

::Table 5::
This table was done in Valspar Churchill Hotel Vanilla.

::Table 6::
I freshened up this metal and glass table with gold Rub 'n Buff.

::Table 7::
Three coats of an oops paint color in red gave this table a nice country look.

::Table 8::
Valspar Midnight Fog is this table's modern color.

  2. Those tables are all so great looking after your very expert re-do's. Love them all but think I like the 3 shelf blue one. But then I like.... oh heck I love them all. That old fashioned country table you did in red must be a heavy old table, tables now are made with pressed wood unless you pay more for them. The 3 shelf blue one would be good as a small tv table, put wheels on it for dining room or kitchen.
    Few years ago we were looking for new end tables but every thing we looked at was junk. Got interested somehow in antiques/vintage tables which are made to last and we still have some of them. Couple pieces we gave to our daughter. She got a 50's style dining set at thrift store for $30, her husband used gel stain on table/chairs and the set is just beautiful. We gave them an English commode we got at antique place in San Diego, he gel stained it also. They have beautiful pieces now that are different than anybody will have and will last them long time.
    I'd love to have it back if they ever get tired of it. we gave it to them when we bought this place thinking we wouldn't have room for it. I got rid of my hoosier when we moved in to our place also, anybody want to kick me?
    Have great week, loved what you did on all your tables, did you keep them for your own home for sell them all?

    1. Thank you. All these tables happened to be wood, but I have painted press board ones too. I sell all the furniture I paint. I have only painted a few pieces for my house and they were pieces I already had.

  3. They are all wonderfully transformed, but I am still a huge fan of table #4 - I love its simple primitive lines and its classic stripes.

    1. Thank you. My favorite is #5. It was huge and I was really happy with the way it turned out. #4 was very small, but cute.

  6. All these tables look like they got a second life. Beautifully redone. I'm thinking of getting mine done too, but once Andy is past the messing around age. He's 3 right now and loves scribbling.
