I scored these tables from the Salvation Army.
I got both tables for $14.99 (plus tax)! I couldn't believe it since the Salvation Army normally prices their furniture pieces MUCH higher.
I REALLY wanted these to have a French Country look and when I saw Rain on a Tin Roof's French Country dresser, I knew I had to do those colors. I had a very light grey oops paint that I added black to it until it became a grey I liked. I mixed it into DIY chalk paint and gave them two coats each. I had already sanded the tops down, and after I painted them I stained the tops with Minwax Dark Walnut.
Once they were dry, I took some white paint and filled in the lines that were gold in the before picture. I used a small artist's brush and had to do two coats. I spray painted the hardware white.
I sure got my French Country look!
I love, love, love the way it came out! The absolute best part is that there are TWO!!
These make me so happy! They really turned out like I pictured in my head.
I added some cute fabric to the drawers.
The white is such a little detail, but adds so much to the overall look. I thought it was going to take a lot more time to do than it did. I am really glad I did it!
